The foundation of Minsk Radioengineering technical school was caused by a rapid development of radioelectronics and calculative technique in 50 years and because of increased demands of the Republic in qualified technical specialists. Having begun its activity in the initial period of the development of radioelectronic industry in the Republic of Belarus, Radio- technical school has gradually turned into the higher college. In 1993 this technical school received the status of the College and in 1995 it was reorganized into State Higher Radioengineering College.
More than 3300 students study at the College, 22 — foreign students.
