History
The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus started its history on May 16,1958 and passed six stages of its development:
Minsk branch of the extra-mural faculty of the Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR (1958);
Minsk full-time and extra-mural faculty of the Higher School of the Ministry of Protection of Public Peace and Order of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (1964);
Minsk full-time and extra-mural faculty of Moscow branch of the extra-mural legal education was attached to the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR (1973);
Minsk Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR (1976);
The Academy of Militia of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus (1992);
The Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus (1995).

There is a comfortable hall of residence of hotel type, situated near the educational establishment. There is also a dining room and a café.

The Educational Centre is situated in the centre of the city where major historic and cultural sights (museums, architectural monuments, theatres, libraries, etc.) are available.
