History
Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus was established in 1991. In 1995 the Academy gained the status of a presidential institution. Institute for Senior Managerial Personnel was founded at the Academy in 1996. In 2000 The Academy’s Institute of Civil Service, Institute of Public Administration and Research Institute for Theory and Practice of Public Administration were created. On 26 July, 2004 by issuing a corresponding decree President of the Republic of Belarus approved the work programme on organising educational activities for executive staff of government bodies and organisations. According to this decree the Academy was defined as the leading institution in training and professional improvement of public bodies’ executive staff. In June, 2006 Academy’s new Statute was approved.
In accordance with its regulations, Institute of Public Administration was reformed into Institute of Managerial Personnel, Institute of Senior Managerial Personnel was incorporated into the structure of the Institute of Civil Service.

Campus Information
The Academy of Public Administration has good residence facilities for students as well as foreign students. Cost of accommodation is stipulated by corresponding contracts.
Sports Facilities
The Academy has a department of physical training, 3 gyms (in the hostels and educational building), skiing facilities, a swimming pool (rented facilities).
Student Life
The Center for Youth Initiatives and Development organizes different events in various circles and interest groups: “Intellectclub”: “KVN” club, vocal studio, dancing studio “Feeria”, esthetic studio, oratory and drama circle, information group “Communicator”.
