History
Education establishment “The Higher College of Communications” was founded on the basis of the Minsk Branch of Sant-Peterburg technical university of telecommunications, the Minsk and Vitebsk electrotechnical secondary schools of communications, and the Republican Center of training, retraining and raising the of professional skill of workers in the field of telecommunications.
HSCC is a higher education establishment of the Ministry of Communications and Information of the Republic of Belarus.
The college carries out training of Specialists of secondary specialized and higher education. Entrants’ availability of secondary specialized education in corresponding speciality is a compulsory condition for entering the college and receiving higher education a shot-term basis.
College laboratories have been provided with modern telecommunications equipment of leading firms (Siemens, ZTE, Cisco, Ericson, etc.).
Technical facilities of enterprises of the Ministry of Communications and Information are also used for training of students.
Students
4960 students, including 11 students from Russian Federation at the levels of secondary specialized and higher education are being currently trained at college.

Sports facilities
In 1997 sport club “Svyazist” was organized. Under its leadership the work in the following kings of sports is organized: tennis, volleyball, basketball, athletics, mini-football, swimming, winter 2 summer all-round events, skiing.
On Sundays “Sunday Club” works. On these days students take part in tournaments, sport holidays.

For the organization leisure activity at the disposal of a teaching and educational department there are two assembly halls, three rooms of rest, there are equipped rooms for creative groups and amateur associations on interests in the hostels. In 2005 on the basis of the Higher State college of Communications a creative association “Premiere” was organized.
Creative association “Premiere” unites the folowing circles: vocal studio of variety singing “Solovyanaya kolibel”, group of variety dance “Opening day” (“Vernisazh”), a drama school “Paradox”, KVN (Club of cheerful and sharp-witted), vocal ensemble “Avenue”, a circle of art reading, chorus. |
